Jonathan Chen | Senior Director and Founder

Jonathan Chen is the Senior Director and Founder of FSC, where he advises clients of the firm on strategies for taking their local business products and services to both China and the Chinese community in Canada. In addition, he provides a channel to help with sourcing products from China to local businesses.

Prior to Fortunestart, he served as Investment Advisor for Maersk and General Manager in CEVA in Shanghai. In his role, he was looking at the assets investment portfolio in Asia for Maersk and help Chinese companies to build their supply chain both domestically and globally.

He holds an MBA graduate degree from Bond University, Australia. Jonathan also sits on several local trade Boards and is an active member of his local chapter of BNI: Business Network International.

He is fluent in his native Mandarin Chinese and his English improves every day, with the help of his two young sons.

He is based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
